James Boags - Premium Lager

This beer is probably one of the easiest in the book to find in Australia and i have had it many times before.
Initial thoughts on opening the bottle "wow strong smell" the green/grassy smell is strong and gives a huge hint as to how the beer will taste

This seems to be a popular beer for corporate events, especially Golf days
i guess people see it as a premium Australian Beer rather than your typical Tooheys New style beers
Overall its not one of my favourite Australian Beers but its something i enjoy on the odd occassion,
A Great beer when had in small doses and it goes great with white meats, The taste is what id call "Clean & pure" Great beer for a hot day

"Budweiser" Svetly Lezak

After a quick trip to the local bottle shop scouting for beers from the book i found two beers i was after and one beer that looked interesting to me named "Budejovicky Budvar"

When i got home i checked the book and found a beer on page 341 named "Budweiser Budvar" (Not related to the American Budweiser Beers) that looked the same with a different name on the label
and after a quick google i found the beer is named differently in europe to the rest of the world and it is in fact the same.

I had this beer with fish for dinner.. It is definately one of my favourites so far.. Light, Refreshing and it gave me a smile (beer buzz)

Definately worth checking out if you can find it! I Recommend

Merry Christmas

Purchased myself a sweet "Christmas Express" Train set for $11 yesterday, First one was missing a corner piece and therefore a full loop could not be made.
Took it back today and got a full set

The Train Conquering Beer Mountain:

Beers up to this Point

Up until now this is the list of beers drank:

- James Squire Golden Ale
- James Squire Original Amber Ale
- Budweiser
- Little Creatures Pale Ale
- Moo Brew Pilsner
- Mexicali
- James Squire Pilsener

James Squire - Original Amber Ale

Tonights Beer with dinner was James Squire - Original Amber Ale

My First thoughts were "This beer is perfect for Hamburgers"
Until around half way through the beer this was my exact thinking, The unusual taste takes over from the hamburger around this stage

Its quite an enjoyable beer but definitely not something i'd see myself sinking more than a few of.
However i guess it did inspire me to start this blog, It must have some magic to it

My book mentions it is the perfect compliment to Italian Meat Dishes.. My head still tells me "Perfect for Hamburgers"

1001 Beers

I Start My Blog at Beer Number 7 of 1001.

This blogs goal is simple

Outline my thoughts and journey of drinking all 1001 beers from the Book named "1001 Beers - You Must Try Before You Die"

The beers listed in this book are generally not your easy to find "Fosters" style beers,
There are beers from all over the world.

I started this goal 2 weeks ago and have absolutely no idea when i'll finish..
I imagine some of the beers may be difficult to locate
